"We will be forever grateful to SCFAW for its kind and compassionate support and education in helping us to trap and socialize all our feral cats and kittens seven years ago. Today, we no longer have feral kittens being born each spring, but now have 5 wonderful furry little companions in our home. You have done a tremendous amount of work in our area, and have made a noticeable difference. We are happy to continue supporting SCFAW in its urgent mission to offer education and affordable spay/neuter services for companion animals. You have always been there for us, and we are glad we are able to help with a bit of support for SCFAW in return! As always, thanks for all that you do!"

Illness and Injury

Scratch's Patch-Up Program

Medical attention for a cat or dog that is sick or injured can be very costly. People with limited means are often forced to euthanize a beloved pet when they can’t afford expensive treatments. Scratch’s Patch-Up Program may be able to help. Thanks to our veterinary partners, we can provide access to discounted treatment in Central Massachusetts for most illnesses and injuries. This program is not easily accessible for urgent or emergency situations due to the time needed to process a request (up to a week).

To request discounted medical treatment, please submit a Request for Veterinary Service form, phone us at 978-779-8287 or email us.

NOTE: Medical Emergencies
SCFAW is not prepared to handle life-threatening pet emergencies that require immediate attention. If you have such an emergency, please call your local veterinarian or animal emergency hospital.
