Volunteering

Volunteers are the foundation of our organization. They enable us to manage our CatSnip Clinics, run our community support hotline, conduct public outreach programs and support our shelter partners. They pick up messages, mail out confirmations for our spay/neuter clinics, write newsletters, counsel people in need of support with pet issues, coach the public on Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), spread the word about spay-neuter at our info booths, and work at our fundraisers. These are just a few of the many vital roles volunteers play at Second Chance Fund for Animal Welfare.

Many assignments can be completed from home. For other tasks, we ask volunteers to be onsite at a specific location, such as a veterinary clinic or fundraising event. We have flexible options, enabling you to volunteer as much time as will comfortably fit into your schedule and lifestyle.

How do you become a volunteer for Second Chance Fund for Animal Welfare?
•    Do you love cats and other animals?
•    Do you have some free time you're willing to give in exchange only for the satisfaction of helping?
•    Can you volunteer on a regular basis, or event by event?
•    Are you 18 years of age or older? We ask that SCFAW volunteers be at least 18 years of age to provide onsite support at our veterinary clinics. We cheerfully accept younger volunteers for age-appropriate assignments.

If you answered "YES" to these questions, you're 95% there! We want to hear about your interests and availability.

Please complete our volunteer application. You'll be well on your way to taking action to reduce the needless suffering of unwanted cats and kittens by helping control cat overpopulation before it happens.
